A community for imperfect women

The Book(ish) Club
Do you get tempted by the idea of a book club and not necessarily by the book, but by the thought of joining a group of women to talk about the things that really matter. Things outside the day to day hustle. Things like how hard it is to be a woman with the relentless expectations and the constant weight of 'shoulds' and 'oughts'. Not forgetting the really important things, like which couple we are rooting for on Married at First Sight, and how didn't they know that Linda was a traitor?!

Well, if any of that spoke to you, welcome to the book(ish) club founded by two psychologists who are building a community that offers real conversation with real women (stay out of this AI).

Join us in this messy attempt at a book club, where book can mean book, but it can also mean tv show, podcast, or maybe just an idea to think about when children or perimenopause keep you awake.
How it works
1. Sign up for free
Join the Book(ish) Club by signing up to our mailing list. Each month, you'll get an email with the theme, book pick, and optional podcast or watch-along.

2. Choose how you want to engage
Read the book, listen to the podcast, watch the show or do a mix. There's no pressure to finish anything. You’re welcome just as you are; snacks and blankets are welcome.

3. Join the live session
Come along to our monthly online meet-up. We open with a gentle check-in, explore key themes together, and reflect on how they show up in real life.

4. Repeat and grow
Every month, we explore a new topic that hopefully brings insight, connection, and (imperfect) growth.

How did we get here?
This month we are setting the scene by asking a big question: Why is it so hard to be a woman?
